As our world becomes ever more modernized, it is clear that appropriate technologies are those that help connect us to the natural world rather than alienating us from it. The framework that surrounds our lives echoes back and forth in time, technology being either a bridge to the larger world, or a chasm. Since 1996, Waterworks-Lamson has been building experience and ideas around a simple machine, the fly reel. In design we hold to a constant mantra: “Let the structure do the talking, let the style emerge from the truth.”
